Following Jaguar Land Rover’s launch of the SVR brand, Jaguar has now revealed its more attainable sporty brand. Called R-Sport, the XF is the first model to receive this treatment.
This is not the first time a brand has gone down this route. BMW has been doing it for quite some time with its M Performance parts, followed by Mercedes-Benz which recently launched its AMG Sport range.
In a similar fashion, it seems the R-Sport model will be more affordable than the full R and RS models.
In terms of performance, the XF R-Sport is fitted with the 3,0-litre, V6 supercharged engine which delivers 250 kW and 450 N.m.
Exterior updates include a new front bumper, rear spoiler, R-style side sills and 18-inch Lyra wheels. There is also an optional Black Pack made up of gloss black surrounds for the windows, bootlid and grille.
Inside the car features an R-badged steering wheels while your feet will be dancing on stainless steel pedals.
The XF R-Sport is priced from R777 430.
