Chris Visser and Japie Badenhorst claimed Team Ford Racing’s second successive victory on the penultimate round of the Absa Off Road championship this past weekend. The result has kept the Ford crew’s championship hopes alive with the title now to be decided at the final round of the season.
Visser and Badenhorst demonstrated their competitiveness early on in the weekend by taking the runner-up slot in Friday’s prologue session. They quickly made their way to the front of the field as Visser drove a faultless race to secure victory on the Ford dealer-sponsored Human Auto 400.
“We needed a win to keep our championship aspirations alive and that’s just what we were able to do this weekend,” explains Visser. “The Ranger has been flying of late. This has allowed us to claw back some ground in the championship battle that will now be settled at the final round.”
