The Eastern Cape Motor Group celebrates their first Ironman!
Troy Theodosiou took on the immense Ironman challenge, 3.8km swim, 180km cycle & the 42km run.
In what turned out to be the most difficult Ironman in its history due to the exceptionally adverse weather conditions, big seas & very strong currents for the swim & huge winds of up to 80 kph that really took its toll on the field.
Troy finished the race at 9.30pm in a very creditable 14 hrs 27 minutes for his first time out.
Troy used his participation in the Ironman event to raise R6000 for Operation Smile (Paediatric Palliative Care Program for children suffering any form of life limiting or life threatening disease)
We are all very proud of your very disciplined approach & dogged determination to succeed.
