Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) recently handed over a brand new 3.2TDCi XLT 4×4 6speed Auto Double Cab to rugby star Bismarck du Plessis. The sponsorship is a perfect fit between the top vehicle in its segment and one of the toughest rugby players in the business.

“We’re delighted to have Bismarck representing the Ford brand,” says Gavin Golightly, Ford Marketing Manager. “He is an integral part of the South African Rugby team and a hero to many South Africans.”

Bismarck is looking forward to driving his new Ford Ranger 4×4 Double Cab in his daily travels as well as to various events during the course of the year.

The Ford Ranger is built locally at Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa’s Silverton Assembly plant. Powered by a 3.2-litre common rail diesel engine the Ranger produces 147kW at 3 000rpm and 470Nm at 1 500rpm resulting in rapid engine response and great fuel economy.
